MADONNA + BROOKE CANDY

Like it or not, she is the biggest of All-time. Can't think of any other woman who sold this many records, made this kind of impact and still selling out stadiums after 30 years.

I mean, who doesn't know Madonna?

I'm not a big fan of Madonna and I think she is overrated, but she is the biggest female pop star of all time. She obviously has not great talent, but she is a workaholic, a great strategist and has an amazing instinct, which is why M is still in business.

 There's at least 10 songs to her catalogue that I can sure imagine people dancing and partying to them decades to come. What does that mean? Pop classics. And a lot of them. To her credit. Madonna's GOTTA be a good pop songwritter. I mean, if you would think of a song such as "Like a Prayer", you might even say it's one of the very best songs since the rock era. I doubt any serious musician - even Prince - would disagree with some of her pop gems. Yes, it's pop music. And yes, it's done GREATLY. No, pop music doesn't have to sound intelectually refined, not even socially conscious. If it does, great. If it doesn't, that's not the heart of the question. Pop music is about a song that works, regardless.
